Community Guidelines
Effective September 25, 2026
Circles, accountability partners, and church groups exist so people can encourage one another toward faithfulness. These guidelines keep those spaces kind, honest, and safe. They are part of our Terms of Use.
What we hope to see
- Encouragement. Celebrate faithfulness, not perfection. Cheer people on after a hard week.
- Honesty with kindness. Share real struggles when you want to, and respond to others' struggles with grace.
- Respect for privacy. What's shared in a group stays in the group.
- Respect for difference. People come from many traditions and seasons of faith. Disagree gently or not at all.
What's not allowed
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Do not post or send content that:
- Harasses, bullies, shames, or intimidates anyone
- Attacks people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, or other protected characteristics
- Is sexual or sexually suggestive, or involves minors in any inappropriate way
- Threatens, encourages, or glorifies violence, self-harm, or suicide
- Is spam, advertising, fundraising solicitation, or scams
- Impersonates another person, church, or organization
- Shares someone else's private information (such as contact details, addresses, or private messages) without permission
- Is illegal, promotes illegal activity, or infringes someone else's rights
- Is deliberately misleading or manipulative, including spiritual manipulation or pressure
How we keep groups safe
- Private by default. Groups are invite-code only and do not appear in any public directory.
- Content filtering. Group names and check-ins are checked by an automated filter, both in the app and on our servers, before they are posted.
- Rate limits. Limits on posting, reporting, and joining help prevent spam and abuse.
- Private reflections are never shared. Your journal and weekly reviews stay on your device.
Reporting and blocking
If something is wrong, please tell us. You can:
- Report a check-in from inside the group. Reports go to a protected moderation queue that only we can review.
- Block a member so you no longer see their content.
- Leave a group at any time.
- Email us at spiritualrhythmapp@gmail.com for anything urgent, or if you cannot report in the app.
We review reports promptly — our goal is within 24 hours. When content violates these guidelines, we remove it and may warn, suspend, or permanently remove the account responsible.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first (911 in the U.S.). If you or someone in your group is struggling, see our crisis resources.
Enforcement
Depending on how serious a violation is, we may remove content, restrict features, suspend an account, or permanently remove a user. Serious violations — such as threats, sexual content involving minors, or targeted harassment — result in immediate removal and, where required, reports to the appropriate authorities.
