What you'll practice

Each day takes about 9 minutes: a short passage of Scripture, a brief teaching, simple steps to practice, a reflection question, and a closing prayer. Here's the path.

  1. Day 1

    Arrive as you are

    Psalm 46:10

Prayer begins before you find the right words. It begins when you stop hiding from the moment you are actually in.

  2. Day 2

    Notice what is good

    James 1:17

Gratitude does not deny what hurts; it trains us to notice that pain is not the only thing present.

  3. Day 3

    Tell the whole truth

    Psalm 62:8

The Psalms make room for joy, anger, confusion, and grief. Honest prayer trusts that God can hold the whole truth.

  4. Day 4

    Ask without controlling

    Matthew 7:7–11

Petition brings our desire to God while releasing our demand to control the answer.

  5. Day 5

    Carry someone in love

    Ephesians 6:18

Intercession turns concern into companionship. We bring another person before God instead of carrying them alone.

  6. Day 6

    Listen without forcing

    1 Samuel 3:10

Listening prayer is not a hunt for dramatic answers. It is a posture of availability to God.

  7. Day 7

Choose a rhythm that can last

    Colossians 4:2

A lasting prayer life is usually built from a small faithful rhythm, not an intense burst of effort.
